If you are a fan of great thrash with one foot in the old school and the other in present times, I cannot recommend “Relentless Retribution” enough. It’s great to see these classic masters of the Bay Area scene showing the young bucks how it’s done.

For lack of a better term, the music has more “bounce”, which injects a new energy into the BLS formula. Overall, this could very well be Black Label Society’s best record to date.

What continues to be refreshing about Misery Index is their ability to craft meaningful, well-balanced songs with just the right mix of technicality, catchiness, and straight-up brutality.
