Floridian extreme metallers, INFERNAEON, have premiered the first track from their upcoming album, “Genesis To Nemesis,” due August 31st. The track is called “Ziasudra,” and tells the story of the Sumerian king of the same name, from which the story of Noah is derived. It can be heard now at the band’s newly redesigned MYSPACE PAGE which also features the new album’s cover art (which can also be seen above) done by Brazilian artist Marcelo Vasco. PROSTHETIC RECORDS has launched the pre-order for the album at their OFFICIAL WEB STORE.
Front man Brian Werner commented on the cover: ”My boy Marcelo Vasco, from Brazil, is hands down the most amazing artist out there right now. He’s worked with everyone from Obituary to Vader to Belphegor, and just when I think I’ve seen the best work out of him, he does something new and I’m blown away all over again. I was anxious to see what he was going to do for us for this album and I had to pick my jaw up off the floor when I saw this. It was literally everything we had wanted from an album cover since we started writing the album.”
“Genesis To Nemesis,” was recorded with producer Brian Elliott at Mana Recording Studios (Goatwhore, Cannibal Corpse, Hate Eternal) in St. Petersburg, Florida, and picks up where 2007′s “A Symphony of Suffering,” (which Metal Hammer described as, “brave, unflinchingly inventive and jackhammer-heavy from beginning to end,”) left off, with a devastating mix of Floridian death metal and symphonic, sinister European black metal. The album features guest appearances by GWAR’s front man, Oderus Urungus, Erik Rutan, John Zahner of Savatage (who served as keyboard engineer) and Bill Hudson and John Slaughter of Coldera. The track listing is as follows:
1. Into The N.O.X.
2. First of the Fallen
3. Lilith Ave Satanas (Bill Hudson, guest guitar solo)
4. Legacy of Kane (Erik Rutan, guest vocals)
5. Ziasudra
6. Creeping Death (Oderus Urungus, guest vocals)
7. The Scar of David
8. Immaculate Deception
9. Graven Image (John Slaughter, guest guitar solo)
10. Revelations
