From Seattle, The Abominable Iron Sloth is described as a band that draws comparisons to early Nirvana and Eyehategod. Overall, an interesting album that has some elements that interest me and I think you may like it as well.

Overall, this a very fun CD and if you’re familiar with the roots of metal and want something that will take you back, this album is a good place to start.

Burden is a group that is influenced by several metal sub-genres (stoner rock, doom). I can honestly say that with the quality of these songs, this EP gives the listener something to look forward to and if it’s any indication of what the full album will sound like, count me in.

They say that two points determine a line; three points confirm it. Now, Soulfly’s fourth album in a row with the Cavalera-Rizzo-Burns-Nunez combination solidifies the core of this band. Co-produced by Logan Mader (ex-Machine Head), “Omen” continues to comfortably reintegrate thrash into their groove-heavy arsenal, and demonstrates how well they have developed.

This is the easiest 5/5 I could possibly imagine giving. I hope Ufomammut can gain the following they deserve, since “Eve” is worthy of being talked about for decades to come.
Despite arriving late to the show, we still got some shots off and did a interview with Steve Brooks!

Les Discrets is a band that has been playing musical chairs with Phest, Amesoeurs, and Alcest via members Winterhalter and Fursy Teyssier. Even Neige has had a hand in this. It stands quite apart of these other projects though, with less of a shoegaze post-black feel and more of an amalgamation of 80s/90s gothic rock, along the lines of Fields of the Nephelim and semi-acoustic atmospheric metal, such as Agalloch.
