Norway’s 1349 will bring its sonic plague back to North America in October for a co-headline tour with Triptykon, entitled, “Weltenbrand World Tour.” Chicago’s Yakuza will also appear on the bill.

Plastic Head Music today confirms the launch of its North American office.  The newly created American division will be headed up Paula Hogan with Edward Christie coordinating details in the company’s London office.  Logistics and distribution will be handled with existing label partners Candlelight Records and EMI Label Services/Caroline Distribution.. It’s hard not giving “Demonoir” a 5.0 after hearing their previous pile of garbage. So yes, 1349 is good again. They’ve been better in the past, but “Demonoir” is a good Black Metal album.

Cannibal Corpse to hit the road this April with guests 1349, Skeletonwitch, & Lecherous Nocturne

Norwegian black metal titans 1349 have announced the title and release date of their new album. The album, entitled “Demonoir,” will be released by Indie Recordings throughout Europe on April 26, and by Prosthetic Records in North America on April 27.

Blackened thrash titans, SKELETONWITCH, swing back into action as they kick off a run of headline shows, in Boston MA. HOWL and IRON AGE support on all the dates, with DOOMRIDERS and BLACK TUSK appearing on select dates. In April, the band will head out on a North American tour supporting the legendary CANNIBAL CORPSE, alongside new label mates in 1349 and South Carolina’s Lecherous Nocturne, including a stop at New England Metal and Hardcore Fest on April 24th.

If it’s a return to form following the disappointing “Revelations of the Black Flame”, then I’m interested.
