If you enjoy melodic metal with a dash of arena rock and a side of core, this might be just what you’re looking for. But coming from a longtime fan, the only thing that amazed me is how much I was disappointed in “The Human Romance”.

Mhorgl isn’t your run-of-the-mill black metal band—not necessarily a good thing, because some of the genre’s best comes out of Australia and if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. But they succeed in going beyond the black stump, and “Antinomian” is a great album.
