For all those who have not had the pleasure of seeing Savannah’s latest fine export (myself included), submitted for your approval is “Red Eyes, Black Skies”.  It does a great job at capturing the song’s energy, and check the sweet beard on Athon! This is a fantastic album from an up-and-coming band who can only get better with time. While it’s easy to think that Black Tusk a clone or knock-off of similar bands from the same area, you’d be doing them a grave disservice if you didn’t listen to this album from start to finish. “Taste The Sin” is easily one of my picks for 2010

WEEDEATER’s previously announced “Nine Toe” tour – named after the recent accidental self-removal of frontman “Dixie” Dave Collins’ via a shotgun cleaning incident – is now underway.

Blackened thrash titans, SKELETONWITCH, swing back into action as they kick off a run of headline shows, in Boston MA. HOWL and IRON AGE support on all the dates, with DOOMRIDERS and BLACK TUSK appearing on select dates. In April, the band will head out on a North American tour supporting the legendary CANNIBAL CORPSE, alongside new label mates in 1349 and South Carolina’s Lecherous Nocturne, including a stop at New England Metal and Hardcore Fest on April 24th.
