Cannibal Corpse to hit the road this April with guests 1349, Skeletonwitch, & Lecherous Nocturne

Blackened thrash titans, SKELETONWITCH, swing back into action as they kick off a run of headline shows, in Boston MA. HOWL and IRON AGE support on all the dates, with DOOMRIDERS and BLACK TUSK appearing on select dates. In April, the band will head out on a North American tour supporting the legendary CANNIBAL CORPSE, alongside new label mates in 1349 and South Carolina’s Lecherous Nocturne, including a stop at New England Metal and Hardcore Fest on April 24th.

If it’s a return to form following the disappointing “Revelations of the Black Flame”, then I’m interested.

Cannibal Corpse – “Evisceration Plague” Released February 3, 2009 on Metal Blade Cannibal Corpse is arguably the most controversial American metal band. It appears as though this is diminishing, though. You won’t find “Fucked With a Knife” (although track 8 references crotch-stabbing) or “I Cum Blood” on this album. Just standard gore lyrics which contrast with their earlier material. Musically, however, it’s still basically the same band. It’s fun, simple, straightforward death metal.
