Wow, within 24 hours, the power metal world received these two bombshells!

Any way you slice it, this is both necessary for longtime fans (especially as the only official live ZP document thus far) and a good cross-section for new fans unfamiliar with the back catalogue. Getting crazy in the nighttime never felt so frenetic.

Due to “insurmountable differences of musical opinion”, DragonForce is currently looking for a “powerful, melodic singer to write a new chapter of DragonForce”.

Both titles will street Tuesday February 23, 2010. They feature updated packaging, plus bonus audio and DVD content.

I’m not sure why those Converge pictures are showing up. Must be a fluke with NextGen Gallery. There are as many more DragonForce pictures on the next page as there are Converge pictures on this page (should be 9).

DragonForce – “Ultra Beatdown” [Roadrunner] Artwork can–and should–say so much about the album.  In this case, it appropriately says: ‘Awesome, but what the hell is it?’.  They have now and always comprised of a power metal backbone–albeit in hyperdrive–with Li/Totman’s vibrant, complicated guitar solos and the 8-bit fury of Vadim Pruzhanov spotlit.
